Orientation · Protocol 03
Reality Check
See present circumstances without denial, exaggeration, or self-condemnation. The Reality Check is a starting-point protocol: describe what is actually true before deciding what to change.
Once this week…
- Choose one area of your life that has your attention.
- Ask: What is actually true right now?
- Ask: What conditions am I working with?
- Ask: What am I assuming, avoiding, or exaggerating?
- Finish with: This is where I am. These are the conditions I am working with.
Why it matters
Accurate change starts with an accurate starting point. Describe reality before judging, justifying, or trying to fix it.
Use the protocol, then return to your life.
This is a starting tool, not a demand to optimize everything at once. Try the protocol as written, notice what happens, and adapt only when you have something real to learn from.
