Better Questions
Replace vague, condemning, or unsolvable questions with useful ones. Better Questions shifts you from self-blame and stuckness toward questions that create clarity and a workable next step.
Three times this week…
When you notice yourself spiraling, judging yourself, or asking a dead-end question, pause and replace it.
Ask yourself:
- What question am I asking right now?
- Is it helping me understand or move forward?
Then replace it with one that is more useful:
- What makes this difficult?
- What would make the next step easier?
- What is one thing I can do now?
Don’t hunt for the perfect answer. Ask a better question.
Make it work for you
Write your common unhelpful question on paper. Keep one replacement question in your notes. Pause when you hear “Why am I like this?” Ask, “What would help right now?” Use it when you feel stuck or ashamed.
Why it matters
The questions you ask shape the options you can see. Better questions create better next steps.
Remember
You do not need the perfect explanation. You need a better question.
